Introduced in 2004, the DSA scheme seeks to promote holistic education and provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate a more diverse range of achievements and talent when seeking admission to a secondary school.
The River Valley Integrated Programme (RVIP)
River Valley High School’s (RVHS) 6-year single-track Integrated Programme is designed to develop leaders of distinction for Singapore. We aim to nurture in students bicultural acumen and moral integrity and to empower students to be thinkers, leaders and achievers with a global perspective. DSA Talent Categories
We are looking for promising Primary 6 students who demonstrate talent. There are 4 categories of talent that are open for our DSA-Sec Exercise in 2023:

#Applicants for DSA Leadership should hold a key position in 2023 Primary School Prefectorial Board or Uniformed Groups
- Not including Guzheng, Violin and Piano
The selection criteria and process for the talent areas will be updated from early May. For more information on DSA-Sec, please refer to the MOE website at https://www.moe.gov.sg/dsa-sec
Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.
Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are expected to honour their commitment to the school for the duration of the 6-year Integrated Programme, and participate in the activities related to the talent they are selected for from Year 1 - 4.
Successful applicants will join RVHS in January in the year 2024. Students will be assessed on both their demonstrated and potential ability to ensure that they benefit from the rigorous curriculum offered at RVHS.

Application Criteria (for 2023)
1 . Applicants must fulfil the following criteria to be shortlisted for school-based selection trial and interview:
- Competent academic performance for P5 Year-End and P6 results (if available)
- Good grade for Chinese Language in P5 Year-End and P6 results (if available)
- Relevant supporting information is to be keyed in via the MOE DSA Application Portal
